One of Ubisoft’s most brilliant games, Prince of Persia: Sands of Time was released during the sixth generation. Sands of Time represented a reinvention of the franchise, focused on action and aerial movement on platforms. His narrative was acclaimed for his charisma and the personality of his two protagonists, impressive especially at that time. That is why SoT is one of the games that Ubisoft fans have most wanted to see again. And it looks like a remake is in development now. However, its graphics are questionable.
Uplay Russia accidentally revealed two images from Prince of Persia: Sands of Time. These reveal a new graphic style and new designs for both the princess and the prince. They are very different designs. The prince has ditched his rougher hairstyle and aesthetic, but it’s hard to give this new look a personality. The colors are also different, more striking, but at the cost of sacrificing a little the aesthetics of the original game.

The princess looks a bit closer to how she looked in the original game, but no one would deny that the character looks very different.

As you can imagine, the quality of the models has been criticized on the internet, commenting that they do not seem to be of the new generation. Maybe it’s a bad photograph or maybe these look better in motion. Anyway, it’s a bit of a worrying way to start the marketing for the Sands of Time remake. If the rumors are true, this one will be released for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
