Last March , a mysterious game called Star Wars Project Maverick was leaked into the PlayStation Network database . After this, the well-known Kotaku journalist, Jason Schreier assured that it was one of the EA Motive projects that we talked about in February .
Rumors about this game have been rekindled now, as EA Motive has announced its arrival on social media to share its work. VentureBeat editor Jeff Grubb was quick to reply to EA Motive’s first post with an animated gif of the movie Top-Gun Maverick.
Sounds June 2 as a possible date for the announcement
In addition, journalist Jordan Maison took the opportunity to remind us that EA Motive was working on a Star Wars project, and later added that we should be vigilant next week. Jason Schreier has also come back to pronounce on the matter stating that the studio will announce his game related to Star Wars.
Everything seems to be aligning towards the next June 2 , because in the updated list of games to be announced in the summer by Jeff Grubb, Mel Gibson is now mentioned as a reference to the 1994 movie Maverick in which the well-known actor plays Bret Maverick. The study has not yet ruled on this, but it is very likely that it will do so in the coming days.
At the beginning of the month we celebrated Star Wars Day in style, collecting 9 of the best Star Wars video games that we call essential for its fans. Will the Maverick project join them?
