A tweet from the always reliable and not at all controversial Dr. Disrespect suggests that he would have some role in Cyberpunk 2077
Dr. Disrespect, a famous streamer with hundreds of thousands of followers, is known for many things. For being accused of racism towards Asians by musician Jimmy Wong, which this streamer described as absurd. Also for filming inside a bathroom at E3 2019, which was against all E3 AND Twitch restrictions. Nor forget when he shared conspiracy theories about the coronavirus. And now, he could also be known for being a character within Cyberpunk 2077, joining one of the most anticipated titles of 2020.
It turns out that the same doctor (although there are many doubts that he really has a doctorate) did a tweet commenting on Cyberpunk 2077. He added “Just wait to see what we have planned. [It will be on a] new level. ” Of course, this can mean many things. Maybe it’s a collaboration deal for the streamer to promote them or play the title before everyone else. However, it could also mean that it has a secondary or tertiary role within Cyberpunk itself.
It makes sense since including a celebrity for the sole reason of generating more interest in the game goes very well thematically with the long-awaited CDPR product.
Cyberpunk 2077 has not been without controversy. Between the exploitation of its workers and CDPR’s brush with transphobia, the wait for Cyberpunk has been a long one for many. This title is expected to be one of the biggest releases of the year. Will they win the Game of the Year awards too? It’s CD Projekt Red’s biggest moment and if this title is a hit, they’ll be guaranteed a spot at the top for a long time.
