Released in March 2019, Devil May Cry V has just experienced a new version on next-generation consoles. Including a new scenario, that of Vergil, as well as a graphics upgrade, the Special Edition of the game has been available since November 10. So it makes sense that its creator, Hideaki Itsuno, promotes it on his Twitter. But what is more original is to announce in passing that an announcement is very close for his next game!
Hideaki Itsuno is a well-known face of Capcom. The friendly and smiling creator is indeed at the origin of the last Devil May Cry but also of the series Dragon’s Dogma. He also participated in the development of over twenty titles for the Japanese publisher, from Power Stone to Project X Zone via Auto Modellista. In short, he is an important figure in society and an essential element to say the least.
On his Twitter, the man seems to have taken advantage of a Motion Capture session to share a post. He wishes players a happy new year 2021 and invites them to discover Devil May Cry V if they haven’t already. But above all, he shares his work on a still undisclosed title whose announcement could be very close.

The new project in development is underway. There is still a lot of work to do, but stay tuned for the announcement!
Reading the Capcom calendar, an upcoming announcement would have its place. Busy on Resident Evil Village, scheduled for this summer, and Pragmata, which expires in 2022, few titles are officially presented yet. However, the Japanese publisher has accustomed us to multiply the releases each year and to offer many licenses to players around the world. It remains to be seen what the Game Designer is working on. A new Dragon’s Dogma? A new Rival’s School whose resurrection was announced in 2012 by the same Itsuno? The mystery is complete but should not last very long!
