Bluepoint’s remake of Demon’s Souls has become one of the top-rated games of the year
When a next-gen console is released, expectations for its launch titles aren’t very high. After all, how many of you remember Killzone Shadow Fall? When is the last time you thought of Ryse? There are some exceptions, like Breath of the Wild and Super Mario 64, but they are very rare. And, to Sony’s good fortune, it looks like Demon’s Souls is going to belong in the group of the best launch games.
Bluepoint Games has scored a great goal with this remake, whose scores have been astronomical.
The seventh highest-rated game in Demon’s Souls. Thus, it gets close to the other brilliant games of the year: Hades, Ori, and the Will of the Wisps, Half-Life: Alyx, and The Last of Us: Part II. What is it that makes it so good? It seems that this remake manages to capture the magic of the PS3 title and update it in just the right ways so that the experience remains valuable in the current generation. Many of the problems of the original game, such as its load times and technical performance, have been greatly improved by Bluepoint Games. In this way, Sony has started this generation in a good direction.
Sony has a wide variety of games planned for 2021. From God of War: Ragnarok to Horizon Forbidden West. However, for those who already want to jump on the boat of the PlayStation 5, they already have a first game to dedicate their time to. Some fans of the franchise have been somewhat critical of this installment, but it will have to wait to see if these problems merit further concern. You already know what Dark Souls fans are like.
