Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja are currently working on the latest additional content for Nioh 2, but they are also already preparing several surprises to celebrate the franchise’s 4th anniversary. One of them is The Nioh Collection, a title that is on its way to PlayStation 5.
As you imagine, the game will include the 2 installments of the saga and all its additional content. The studios decided to harness the power of Sony’s new console to offer remasters of both games.
This means that the PlayStation 5 users will be able to enjoy Nioh and Nioh 2 with multiple improvements. On the other hand, current owners of Nioh 2 will have multiple options to get the improved version of the sequel at no additional cost.
THE NIOH COLLECTION IS COMING TO PS5 WITH ALL THIS CONTENT
Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja announced Nioh 2: The Complete Edition for PlayStation 4, as well as Nioh 2 Remastered: The Complete Edition , Nioh Remastered: The Complete Edition, and The Nioh Collection for PlayStation 5.
All titles will be released simultaneously on February 5, 2021. As we mentioned, The Nioh Collection will include the remastering of both installments with all their additional content.
Remasters will run at 4K and up to 120 fps. In addition, they will take advantage of the console’s SSD to offer reduced loading times. Another good news is that PS4 users will be able to track and keep their progress on PS5.
The pre-sale of the games will begin on November 20 on the PlayStation Store. Owners of Nioh 2: The Complete Edition for PS4 will be able to upgrade to the PlayStation 5 remaster at no cost.
Players who already have the sequel on PS4 will also have the option to update the base game and its additional content to receive the optimized version on the new console. Koei Tecmo clarified that Nioh 2 Remastered and its DLC will not be available for individual purchase.
