After a short wait, Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time has received critical and fan acclaim. It took many decades, but Crash finally has a fourth installment worthy of being a successor to the Naughty Dog trilogy. Mind you, its sales weren’t particularly brilliant and are results that will perhaps lead to questions within Activision. Above all, what direction should they take with the marsupial if the results are still disappointing?
Anyway, the PC version has been cracked. Its DRM only lasted 48 hours.
According to AshenOne from the ResetEra forum, Crash Bandicoot 4 is the first Battle.Net game to be cracked. Considering that this DRM has done such a bad job of covering up for Crash, it would be best if Activision lifted the system. However, it is not known if this will happen. It’s been two days since Crash 4 hit PC. In case you don’t know, this game is now available on all major platforms.
The last few years have been very interesting for Crash Bandicoot. After being missing for a long time, the remakes of Vicarious Visions and Toys 4 Bob brought the character back to life. However, the results of Crash 4 hide what could be a dark truth: the success of the remasters does not prove that there is much interest in seeing new Crash games. Or maybe charging sixty dollars was a bit absurd.
