Every industry with the digital operation is at risk from hackers, crackers, and hackers who tend to steal important information after accessing the internal networks of companies. In video games, it is no different and this time the attack was against Capcom.
A few moments ago, Capcom revealed through a statement on its official site that its internal networks were compromised by third parties, which caused the malfunction of various systems that operate for its group worldwide. The incident happened on the morning of November 2. According to the company, its dedicated email and file servers experienced the most problems along with internal networks, which had to be stopped proactively to avoid bigger problems.
In this regard, the statement indicates that this interference by third parties in Capcom’s internal networks should not be a cause of concern for users, since there is no evidence so far that data and information from the accounts has been stolen.
Finally, the Japanese company reported that it is already working with the police to carry out the pertinent investigations and will soon offer more data that shows the scale of this attack.
