According to a job ad, the upcoming game from Bungie could be a free-to-play , so a live service on the pure model Apex Legends , Fortnite and Call of Duty: Warzone (just to name three well-known names).

The position sought is that of the Senior Marketing Manager and among the skills required is that of having worked on GaaS (games-as-a-service), MMOs, free-to-play and some mobile titles.

Not much else is known about Bungie’s new intellectual property. It has been talked about for years now, but Oni and Marathon’s study has never presented it to the public. Given the experience with Destiny and Destiny 2 it was quite obvious that it followed a similar economic model, so it is not surprising that it has thrown itself on free-to-play, which many millions of dollars is making to publishers such as Electronic Arts, Activision and Epic Games, just to name a few. In short, the future of the video game world is increasingly live service.
