The eye that sees everything, that is, the Internet can put those responsible for all creative products in serious trouble, this in case something in its content is considered out of place or offends a sector or social group. In the case of video games it is no different and recently the attention focused on Bungie after a phrase used in Destiny 2 turned out to have an association with the Nazis.
AN INADVERTENT MISTAKE SPARKED CRITICISM AGAINST DESTINY 2
As part of Destiny 2’s Season of the Chosen, a sector of the community sparked controversy after a phrase from the game was associated with the Nazi movement in a weekly challenge. According to the information, the confrontation with the Cabal race lent itself to being epic and the development team thought it would be a good idea to equip it with expressions of war triumph. Hence, one of the challenges was named “Blood And Honor”, but this ended up being a mistake as players immediately pointed out that this phrase, in its German version “Blut und Ehre”, was used in the preparation of the Hitler youth.
Bumping this to add that I just noticed the H.E.L.M. War Table’s weekly bounty challenge is called Blood and Honor—a phrase well known as the motto of the Hitler Youth. @Bungie @Cozmo23 @A_dmg04 Please reconsider and rename this UI item. https://t.co/2sbMtOA05z

Also, the challenge took place in an event called “Battlegrounds: Cleanup”, so criticism was soon looming against Bungie and prompted the company to offer an apology: “Any connection to anti-Semitism in Destiny is completely unintentional. . Bungie is strongly committed to inclusion and human rights, and will never advocate for anti-Semitism. We are already preparing fixes in an upcoming patch. We apologize to all of our players who were harmed by referrals and we are grateful to our community for letting us know your concerns. “
Destiny 2 is available on PS4, Xbox One, PS5, Xbox Series X | S, and PC.
