Just one year after the launch of Borderlands 3, Gearbox Software has announced important updates to the title at PAX Online. On the one hand, it has been confirmed that the game will arrive on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and will be free for those who have the game on PS4 and Xbox One, thanks to a free update. On the other hand, the developer has commented that it is working on more DLC.
The great news that PS5 and Xbox Series X will receive Borderlands 3 does not come alone. These versions will have performance improvements and the game will run at 4K and 60 fps in single-player mode. In addition, Gearbox Software has indicated that the saved games will also be transferred to the new consoles, as well as all the purchases we have made related to the game.
But also introduce some features new to come both PS4 and Xbox One, and Xbox as PS5 Series X, which have been demanded by the community. Gearbox Software will bring to the game the option of playing split-screen with four players, as well as the option of dividing the screen vertically if two people play in cooperative mode.
A few days ago the last planned DLC for Borderlands 3 came out, ” Krieg the Psycho and Fantabulous Calamity “, but now we know it won’t be the last. Gearbox has stated that adding new content will arrive before the end of the year. The DLC will not be campaign and will include a new game mode and a new skill tree for each character (only the one for FL4K has been shown at the moment).
Borderlands 3 is available for PC, PS4, and Xbox One, and we now know that it will be coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X at a date yet to be announced.
