Apex Legends is coming to Nintendo Switch today. Respawn Entertainment’s free battle royale lands on the Nintendo platform with a port from Panic Button, the studio responsible for adapting numerous Triple-A games to the hybrid console in recent years. And a question that many will be asking is this What is the resolution of Apex Legends on Switch?
In an interview with Famitsu, translated and shared by Nintendo Everything, Panic Button Technical Director Andy Boggs confirms the resolutions and performance of Apex Legends on the console. First of all, the multiplayer shooter will go at 30 FPS at all times, whether in handheld or desktop mode. Of course, the resolution will change depending on the way we play.
Apex Legends resolution on Switch
According to the developer, Apex Legends will work at 720p in desktop mode -connected the console to the TV- although it will reduce its resolution to 576p in portable mode. As we explained in the announcement of the date of Apex Legends for Nintendo Switch, this version will be compatible with cross-play and will include all the content present in the rest of the game’s platforms, including the news of Season 8 of Apex Legends.
Not only that, and since this port arrives after the premiere of the new season, its players will be able to claim the 30-level progress of their battle pass for free, as compensation. If you haven’t played Respawn’s battle royale for a few months, we remind you that in February Fuse, a new explosive powers champion joined the game, who has not been without controversy due to accusations of plagiarism against its creators.
