At the end of February, Anthem players received the bad news that future updates to the game were being canceled, including the next big update, unofficially called Anthem Next. BioWare’s game confirmed the bad omens and the journey started in 2019 has failed miserably, and we even saw it for sale for 1 euro before the announcement of the cancellation.
Now, the director of Anthem, Jonathan Warner, has communicated through his personal Twitter account that he is leaving BioWare, after almost 10 years with the company. The creative has stated that he will do “new things” in the future, although at the moment there is no news about it. This exit comes a month after the cancellation of the Anthem updates, so it could be related.
So, today is my last day at BioWare, I’m moving on to do new things.
BioWare has been home to my grateful heart for nearly 10 years and I want to wish them all the best. DA ME and SWTOR are in good hands and I can’t wait to play from this side of the screen. #ThankYou #BioWare pic.twitter.com/g5zp7hkSV5
