JR East is experimenting with a new Shinkansen, a bullet train that could end up reaching up to 400 km / h and with hardly any vibrations inside.
If you are lucky enough to visit Japan, surely one of the experiences you want to live is to ride the Shinkansen, the Japanese bullet train that continues to have new, much more advanced versions, and the last one is capable of reaching up to 400 km / h.
In an event in the experimental testing phase, East Japan Railway Co. (JR East) has just tested its new ALFA-X, a new version of the Shinkansen that has just been shown to the Japanese press. The Advanced Labs for Frontline Activity in rail eXperimentation, known as ALFA-X, can reach a top speed of 400 km / h, and in Tuesday’s test, it reached 382 km / h.
The test was done on the JR East Tohoku Shinkansen line that connects Tokyo and Aomori Prefecture and was able to complete the route in just 40 minutes when a typical trip between these two stations is usually in 1 hour and 15 minutes. The recent test was the first that had journalists inside, but previously it has already been operating without passengers collecting data and reaching average speeds that have been very close to 400 km / h.
The characteristic design of this new Shinkansen is the nose, both front and rear. When the train travels north it uses the 22 m long nose, and when traveling south it uses the 16 m nose.
But its technological vanguard, in addition to the characteristic nose, also stands out for its advanced braking system, and the new electromagnetic resistance system that has significantly improved the braking system.

For passengers to travel comfortably inside the bullet train, improved shock absorbers have been installed that minimize horizontal and vertical vibrations . However, in tests on Tuesday, despite the train going 382 km / h, hardly any vibrations were reproduced inside.
In any case, although this bullet train can reach 400 km / h, the idea of JR East is that it can offer a speed close to 360 km / h on those journeys with passengers so that people can move from one area to another in just a few minutes to make the most of your time.
