With Halo Infinite slated for release this fall on Xbox One, Series X | S, and PC, it’s a massive development coming to an end at 343 Industries. Recently, we learned that the sandbox part (vehicles, weapons, mechanics, etc.) was finished and that development was progressing well. However, from a few job postings spotted on Microsoft’s site, it looks like the Redmond-based studio is already thinking about the future of the franchise. Indeed, he recently published a new job offer for a producer position.
Microsoft specifies that the person recruited will be in charge of helping the studio in the development of a new project in the Halo universe. It is obviously not detailed what will be the nature of the production, but the latter will be large-scale. Indeed, among the qualifications required, the Redmond firm requires a profile capable of leading a team cut out for AAA gaming experiences, in other words, big-budget games.
On June 5, 2020, we are already giving you a job offer for the recruitment of a Senior Software Engineer whose vocation would be “to bring a vision and new ideas to the franchise” . For the moment, difficult to know much more or to draw conclusions, nor even if the two job offers concern the same project. In any case, it seems that Halo could sail to new horizons. Will it be a future canonical episode with new mechanics, a new Halo Wars- like game or a new spin-off? It will undoubtedly be necessary to wait for long months to find out but, whatever the case, 343 Industries seems to be indeed already looking towards a future beyond the regions ofHalo Infinite.
