The development of Half-Life: Alyx for virtual reality devices is by far one of the great successes of the year, demonstrating with great work the capabilities that this technology can bring to video game lovers. However, there are many who have claimed to be able to enjoy this adventure without glasses, made for which the proposal has been the recipient of various and sometimes painful mods and, now, of an entire adaptation of its initial sequences for Far Cry 5.
It is a fully playable experience designed by SanktPerkele, a user of the Far Cry Arcade mode of the Ubisoft title who, according to YouTube, set out to copy down to the smallest detail the initial opening of the Valve title, showing his particular vision of the City 17 skyline and the first scenes of the shooter after taking advantage of the tools that this program offers.
“I am very happy with the end result,” said SanktPerkele. At the moment it can be accessed from a PC and it is expected to be ported soon.
Alyx has sold just over two million copies since its launch, standing out for being a revolution not only in the field of virtual reality, but in the video game itself. “It is one of the most innovative works that I have enjoyed in a long time and my fingers are not shaking if I write that it is perfectly equal to the previous games,” said Alejandro Pascual in the analysis of Half-Lify: Alyx.
