After meeting the Mi NoteBook 14, Xiaomi presented the update of its Mi Notebook Pro 15 for this year, where there is no surprise involved, and that is that the company chose the new generation of 10th Generation Intel Core ‘Comet Lake’ processors along with some dedicated Nvidia graphics.
We thus come across a 15.6-inch IPS panel at a Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels with a maximum brightness of 300 nits, 100% coverage of the sRGB color space, protected by Gorilla Glass 3 laminate, and powered by the Intel Core i5-10210U (4 cores + 8 threads @ 1.60 / 4.20 GHz) in its base version or the Intel Core i7-10510U (4 cores + 8 threads @ 1.80 / 4.90 GHz) with 8GB / 16GB of DDR4 @ RAM memory 2666 MHz respectively and a 512GB / 1TB SSD respectively.
Both models share Nvidia GeForce MX350 graphics, which are essentially up to 28% slower than a GeForce GTX 1050 but with a much lower TDP.
The Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro 15 (2020) includes a double cooling system with two heat-pipes and double fan to offer good temperatures, a backlit keyboard where the keys have to travel 1.5mm for activation, fingerprint reader for a greater security, access to 2x USB 3.1 + 2x USB Type-C + SD card reader, 3.5mm jack connector and HDMI video output. We continue with WiFi 802.11ac + Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity, a 60Wh battery that, according to the company, promises up to 17 hours of video playback with a quick charge of 0 to 50% in 40 minutes, with the USB Type-C port you can charge a mobile @ 18W, and all this is finished with two 2.5W speakers of Harman Audio power, Windows 10 Home operating system and a weight of 2 kilograms.
The Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro 15 (2020) lands in China at a local price in exchange for 750 euros (Core i5, 8GB, and 512GB) and 880 euros (Core i7, 16GB, and 1TB), very expensive prices for what they offer, since they will arrive in Europe even more expensive.
