A new and interesting use.
Being one of Nintendo’s great failed peripherals, the NES Power Glove has been reused to now have a musical purpose.
Musician Sam Battle, through his Look Mum No Computer project, took the Great N glove to a new level by transforming it into a synthesizer.
Through his YouTube channel, Battle showed the entire arduous process in great detail of each step taken for what was the end result.
After a complete change inside, the Power Glove makes all kinds of electronic sounds just by moving your fingers or closing your hand.
In the construction video, the musician offered an example of the music (min. 6.50) that can be created using only this modified peripheral.
In addition to transforming the Power Glove into a synthesizer, Sam Battle built an animatronic arm so that it uses the glove and, through commands, can recognize music and reproduce it with movement.
