The Apple Watch Series 6 could measure the level of oxygen in the blood

Apple will hold its biggest launch event of the year after the summer and the iPhone 12 and Apple Watch Series 6 are expected to share the stage.

Now online information has appeared that gives us some clues about what to expect from the new devices.

DigiTimes report claims that the upcoming watch will have a blood oxygen saturation sensor, confirming some previous rumors to this effect.

The level of oxygen in the blood can be a good indicator of respiratory problems and other health problems, so it would work like the electrocardiogram function that current Apple Watch models already have, warning of possible problems in advance.

Clues to that sensor have already been seen in watchOS 7 beta, but obviously this functionality won’t be available until Apple Watch Series 6 debuts.

On the other hand, MySmartPrice has found small batteries passing the certification processes in South Korea.

There are three batteries with capacities of 263 mAh, 266 mAh, and 304 mAh. Those different sizes could be related to different Apple Watch Series 6 models.

The Apple Watch Series 5 comes with a 296 mAh battery, so if you take into account the optimizations and efficiency improvements that Apple achieves every year, it seems that the battery life of the Apple Watch Series 6 will be at least as good. like that of its predecessor (or perhaps a little better).

We have recently learned that the arrival of the new iPhone on the market will not take place in late September, as in previous years, but we will have to wait a few weeks. We do not know if this will also affect Apple Watch, in case new models are introduced in September.
