Now, a new registration has just revealed, the possibility of being able to connect external graphics to the new PS5.
As can be seen in Free Patents online, Sony has registered a new patent which reveals the possibility of connecting an external graphic to the Playstation 5. If you are not familiar with the subject, reading the patent may be somewhat tedious and not understand a lot. Despite this, it is appreciated how they mention both GPU (Graphics Processing Unit), as well as SoC technology.
“SoC technology can be applied to both video simulation consoles and game consoles, and specifically one SoC can be provided for only one ‘light’ version of the console, while plural SoCs can be used to deliver a ‘high-end’ version of the console with greater processing and storage capacity than the ‘lightweight’ version, ”it reads.
