The OnePlus 8 Pro arrives with a color filter camera that, as we heard a few weeks ago, is capable of seeing through thin plastic and fabric.
The company announced that it would disable this camera only on the Chinese variant of the OnePlus 8 Pro that uses the HydrogenOS software layer.
However, the brand mistakenly disabled this camera in the global version with the OxygenOS 10.5.9 OTA although, as we have heard, the European version of the OnePlus 8 Pro never received the update that disabled the color filter camera.
Now the company has amended the bug and is re-activating the color filter camera through the new OxygenOS 10.5.10 update.
OnePlus has started rolling out the May 2020 security patch update for the OnePlus 8 series worldwide. This patch arrives as OxygenOS 10.5.10 for the global variant of the OnePlus 8 Pro.
Surprisingly, the update changelog doesn’t mention anything about reactivating the color filter camera in the camera app. That said, this change is only applicable to the global variant of the phone.
