Office for iPadOS offers a new experience with trackpad support.
Microsoft , iPad for Office announced innovations from the application. One of these innovations is full support for trackpad functions. Note that this support includes Word , Excel and PowerPoint applications.
The company says the new updates will come in handy if you use a mouse or Apple Magic Keyboard to navigate text in Word, resize content in PowerPoint, or select cells in Excel. In addition, the cursor can automatically adjust its function according to the content you are working on. The new iPad experience will be very familiar to those using Office apps on Windows or macOS .
Additionally, new start screens and a new feature menus ribbon have been added to the Word, Excel, and PowerPoint experiences. It is underlined that these improvements provide a cleaner and more modern appearance in accordance with the Fluent UI design.
As Microsoft releases these updates gradually, it may take the next few weeks to reach everyone. For the upcoming period, innovations such as multi-document support in Excel, contextual menus, and offline file support for cloud files are planned.
