In recent years, mobile manufacturers have made efforts not only to create an attractive terminal catalog but also to create an ecosystem around them.
One of the first products that brands often add to these ecosystems is smart bracelets, fairly cheap devices that usually have many uses. Xiaomi is one of the best that has done this with the Mi Band.
New data from the Xiaomi Mi Band 5
Today we have seen on the TizenHelp portal new data about what will be the new Xiaomi bracelet, the Xiaomi Mi Band 5. The design is very similar to that of the Xiaomi Mi Smart Band 4, although it seems that the screen will be somewhat larger.
As expected, we can customize the covers, and there are some that make references to the Avengers movie.
Among the new functions are the possibility of measuring stress or blood oxygen saturation, something we have seen in other bracelets from rival companies. We can also control the camera shutter.
NFC for the international model
But without a doubt the most relevant will be the inclusion, it seems, of an NFC chip in the global model, which would imply being able to pay with the bracelet. Of course, in principle it would be compatible with Mastercard credit cards, not with all systems that support NFC.
You still have to take this information with tweezers but taking into account that OPPO has presented a bracelet with NFC and that it could take it to markets like the Spanish it seems logical to think that Xiaomi does not want to be left behind.
Also, the brand led by Lei Jun recently announced the launch of the Mi Smart Band 4 with NFC in Russia, so we might even see that model in Europe. On June 11, when it is announced in China, we will know all its details.
