Apple’s next iPhone, whose name will probably be iPhone 12, could be the first iPhone to arrive without any headphones in the box.
At least, this is what the well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo specialized in Apple affirms, who has explained that Apple will not incorporate headphones in the box of the iPhone 12 when it is released in September (or, possibly, a little later).
This actually makes quite a lot of sense. Many manufacturers of smartphones have been including headphones in the boxes for years, but most users already have their own headphones , which are usually better than those that come in the box.
And if this reason does not convince you, also think about the environment. Many of the headphones that manufacturers include stay in the box forever or, in the worst case, end up in the trash.
Of course, we can also think that Apple does this to increase the demand for its wireless headphones, the AirPods. In fact, Kuo says that Apple could offer a special promotion to get you AirPods in late 2020.
