Asus announced today the launch of two new routers focused on gamers: the RT-AX86U and the RT-AX82U, remembering that last weekend we announced that most of the people who changed the router that offered by their operator they were happier.
Both routers are very similar, the most notable difference being that the RT-AX86U offered a wireless speed of up to 5700 Mbps compared to up to 5400 Mbps capable of reaching the RT-AX82U.
For the rest, both are backed by the Asus Router application where with a single click of the screen with your finger we can activate the Mobile Gaming Mode to improve the gaming experience through WiFi connectivity, whether with a computer, console or device mobile, the latter being its main claim. For the ‘fixed gamers’, there is nothing better than a 2.5 Gbps WAN / LAN port for the RT-AX86U, but while the RT-AX82U is content with 1 Gbps, at least it brings RGB lighting to compensate as god intended.
Both routers also offer 4x antennas (the RT-AX86U sees one of them being soldered to the PCB), they are powered by a Quad-Core @ 1.80 GHz & Tri-Core @ 1.50 GHz processor respectively, 1GB / 512 MB of RAM memory, 256 Mb of internal storage, WiFi OFDMA technology, operate in the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands, have WPA3, WPA2, WPA, WPA Enterprise, WPA2 Enterprise encryption, and WPS support, 2x / 1x USB 3.2 Gen1 port, is optimized for the Nvidia GeForce NOW cloud gaming service, and much more.
As for the most relevant detail, the price of the Asus RT-AX86U and Asus RT-AX82U, not a word.
