In recent months, there have been several leaks related to Apple ’s highly anticipated AR headsets. But according to an analyst, the product is at least two years away from launch.
In a report to investors seen by MacRumors, reliable analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said he hopes the Apple AR headset (probably called Apple Glasses) will be launched as early as 2020. However, further delays due to the current pandemic or possible complications cannot be ruled out.
This schedule is consistent with what DigiTimes recently reported based on information from suppliers who are working on development. It also confirmed the 2022 release date provided by “Information”.
Bloomberg’s release is estimated to be less aggressive, as it has previously been reported that it will be released in 2023. On the other hand, Jon Prosser recently suggested that the product will be released as early as next year.
Of course, this does not necessarily mean that it will be released next year. Just as what happened when Apple first introduced a new product category, the announcement should be released a few months later.
For example, if Apple released the product on WWDC 2021, it may choose to release the product in early 2021. Alternatively, it can be announced in September and released in spring 2021.
