We’ve been hearing rumors for a long time that Apple may be working on a new object location accessory called the AirTag.
The accessory has yet to be released, even though we’ve heard multiple release dates throughout 2020 and it even appears that the Find app is now ready to locate items.
Now a tweet from Front Page Tech’s Jon Prosser has revealed that the accessory will be unveiled in March.
Apple typically schedules a few launch events throughout the year, with one earlier in the year focusing more on the iPad and sometimes Mac computers.
Most likely, this next event will feature AirTags , as well as the launch of the new iPad Pro , which has not been updated since early 2020.
Prosser says he has not heard of any more delays and, since we are almost in the middle of February, hopefully this time the rumors will be fulfilled.
The AirTags will also represent a new Apple accessory and it will be interesting to see how it performs compared to other tracking accessories such as those made by Tile or the recent SmartTags from Samsung.
