Porsche Design and AOC have teamed up to launch the first Porsche Design AOC AGON gaming monitor.
The 27-inch (68.58 cm) PD27 has a QHD panel, 240 Hz refresh rate, 0.5 ms MPRT. Let us state that this monitor has been awarded the 2020 Red Dot Award for its design.
“The Porsche Design AOC AGON PD27 model, with its linear and simple design that blends form and function, is the perfect embodiment of the brand’s DNA and inclusive design philosophy,” said Roland Heiler , Senior Design Manager at Porsche Design. Combined with AOC AGON’s innovative and cutting edge technologies, this new monitor was developed for gamers looking for optimal performance without sacrificing style. ”

Director of European Marketing and Business Management AOC Stefan Sommer is stated: “The Porsche Design would like to announce the first results with the pride and happiness of our new partnership: Porsche Design AGON PD27 AOC monitor. AOC’s proven expertise in display technologies fits seamlessly with Porsche Design’s exceptional approach to design. Gamers around the world will be delighted to experience this amazing product, with both design and outstanding gaming performance. ”
The design of the monitor is emphasized by a silver-colored foot element in the form of a safety cage of a racing car. Adhering to Porsche Design’s design philosophy to elegantly combine style and performance, PD27 can project its logos on the table in different colors and turn on the screen’s backlight.
The PD27 was developed for the most ambitious competitive players and professional esports enthusiasts around the world. The model displays images in QHD resolution (2560 × 1440) and produces a 240 Hz refresh rate. In addition, the PD27 is VESA’s DisplayHDR 400 certified, resulting in vibrant colors and a wide dynamic range (HDR). Let us also mention that this screen is curved at 1000R level.
The 240 Hz refresh rate reduces perceivable motion blur, while 1ms GtG and 0.5ms MPRT pixel response times promise a clear, ghost-free gaming experience. With AMD’s FreeSync Premium Pro, users can experience smooth gameplay without tearing. 550 nit brightness of the VA panel is another remarkable feature.

The PD27 is offered with a wireless (IR) keypad that resembles a center console, so it is possible to access monitor settings or game presets. In addition, it should be noted that it includes 5 W stereo speakers with DTS sound support. In terms of daily functionality, the monitor also comes with a 4-port USB 3.2 hub, 2 HDMI 2.0 and 2 DisplayPort 1.4 inputs.
The Porsche Design AOC AGON PD27 model will be available in mid-November 2020 at selected Porsche Design stores, specialist retailers and select retail online stores at a suggested retail price of USD 929.
