PlayStation Productions is serious about adapting its franchises to television series or movies . The most important projects that are officially known are The Last of Us and Uncharted, which will be adapted to television and film, respectively. However, the company is also working on a Twisted Metal series and a new report indicates that the project is progressing favorably.
Thanks to the success of its video game franchises, Sony announced in 2019 that it would form the PlayStation Productions division , which would work on multimedia projects. At the end of 2020 he revealed that he was already working on 10 adaptations, 3 of them films and 7 television series . Of the latter, only that of The Last of Us is confirmed along with that of Twisted Metal ( not counting the apparently suspended project of Sly Cooper ).

TWISTED METAL WOULD BE A COMEDY SERIES
Sources describe the project as “a high-octane action comedy about an outsider trying to improve his own life,” according to The Illuminerdi . The series would take place in an apocalyptic world and the protagonist would have to deliver a mysterious package alongside a violent car thief at the slightest provocation.
The task would not be easy, because in this wasteland there are also many intruders who have vehicles capable of demolishing and creating great destruction, as in the series and even in this world there is Sweet Tooth and Nedles Kane, a madman with the appearance of a clown who drives a Ice cream truck that has the name of Sweeth Tooth and is usually used to refer to its driver as well.
AN ICONIC VIDEO GAME CHARACTER WILL APPEAR IN THE TV SERIES
The Twisted Metal project would be live-action and the interesting thing is that the first details of the actors who could participate in it have already emerged. The most interesting is Sweet Tooth, as The Illuminerdi confirmed that he would appear in the series and that Will Arnett will have a person in charge of impersonating him, although it was only mentioned that he will make an audio cameo (voiceover). This actor has participated in multiple films, apart from being known for his work in comedy. He has participated in video games as well and has given the voice to Batman in the LEGO series .
On the other hand, the sources mentioned that the role of “John” would be played by the Indian actor Kumail Nanjiani , but the situation changed at this time and that now this character was offered to Anthony Mackie , who you may know for giving life to Sam Wilson or Falcon in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, it is not yet confirmed who will get the role.
