The Mandalorian has become a phenomenon for both Star Wars fans and Disney Plus, which has seen Jon Favreau’s series save furniture during the platform’s first year, being practically the only great new content on the platform. The second season of the Star Wars series raised the bar even further with some wildly epic cameos that delighted fans of yesterday and today.
Naturally, the series was renewed for a third season that a priori was going to arrive at Christmas 2021, but which was delayed after the presentation of The Book of Boba Fett, the series starring Temuera Morrison and Ming-Na Wen as Boba Fett and Fennec Shand.
This carried the third season of The Mandalorian to 2022, but it didn’t leave us with an existential void, which is always welcome. Now, it seems that we also have a record of when the cameras will start recording the new episodes of Din Djarin’s adventures.
According to the website of the Film and Television Industry Alliance, the third season of The Mandalorian will begin filming on April 5 in Los Angeles. Naturally it is a date subject to changes that may arise from the health situation in California, but the normal thing would be for it to remain. It remains to be seen where the story goes into the new season of the series created by Jon Favreau and produced by Dave Filoni after the events of the second season.
What do you think of the filming start date that The Mandalorian currently handles for its third season?
