The Mandalorian is nominated for best drama series

The Mandalorian has been nominated at the 2021 Golden Globes in the category of Best Dramatic Series, where it will compete with other major series of 2020.

Within the Star Wars productions of the last decade, The Mandalorian has become a revolutionary product. The simple story of a bounty hunter protecting a powerful child created by Jon Favreau and produced by Dave Filoni has conquered the Star Wars fandom with a mechanism that combines novelties in the galactic imaginary created by George Lucas along with a careful fan service that entertains the oldest lovers of the saga.

The first season of The Mandalorian garnered 15 Primetime Emmy Award nominations, of which it won seven. Now, with the show’s shocking second season, the series has caught the attention of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association .

The Mandalorian has obtained its first nomination at the Golden Globes for this edition of 2021. The Star Wars series aspires to win the award in the category of Best Dramatic Series , although the contest will be contested with other major series.

Din Djarin and Grogu will have to deal at the Golden Globes with series like The Crown (which has already won this category in the past), Territory Lovecraft, of HBORatched from Ryan Murphy and Ozark from Netflix. There is no doubt that there are great nominees for the Golden Globe for Best Dramatic Series in this edition. The official Star Wars profile has welcomed the nomination, and it remains to be seen what other accolades it can aspire to at this year’s Primetime Emmy Awards.
