The Mandalorian, the first Disney + original series, has been the most pirated series of 2020 ahead of Prime Video’s The Boys.
The war to become the king of streaming has already been declared, and the classic competitors are being joined by new enemies, such as Disney +, who have entered the race to have more subscribers than anyone else thanks to series like The Mandalorian.
Jon Favreau’s series has the honor of having been the first Disney + original production, as well as the first live-action Star Wars series, and one of the best series of recent years, so it is not surprising that it also holds the (shameful) title of being the series that has been hacked the most throughout 2020 , as reported by the TorrentFreak portal.
A title that for years held Game of Thrones, but after having finished, and new productions have arrived, now belongs to the series starring Pedro Pascal, which is closely followed in illegal downloads, The Boys from Amazon Prime Video and HBO’s Westworld, which ranks third.
After its surprising end for its second season, The Mandalorian has already begun the development of its third batch of chapters that is expected to arrive sometime in 2022 as Disney has ceded the December 2021 premiere to the new Boba Fett series. While the Star Wars movies seem to be on stand-by while Disney and Lucasfilm focus exclusively on expanding George Lucas’s universe through both live-action and animated television series.
