The most iconic monsters in the history of cinema fight hand-to-hand again, almost 60 years later. An epic battle that we will be able to enjoy in cinemas and streaming very soon.
The great monsters have roamed the big screen since the days of silent movies. The two most famous are undoubtedly the giant gorilla Kong, and the radioactive god Godzilla. Both will face each other in Godzilla vs. Kong.
Both titans already fought to the death in the 1962 film King Kong vs. Godzilla. About 60 years later they recall an epic duel where only one can remain (although in the end the loser always survives, more films have to be shot …).
Here you can see the spectacular trailer of Godzilla vs. Kong, a show full of action and destruction that is worth enjoying on the big screen:
One of the questions the film will have to answer is why Kong is so damn big.
In his previous on-screen appearance, in the movie Kong: Skull Island, the gorilla was five times shorter. Almost 50 years have passed since the events of said film with respect to the new one but … is it enough for it to grow five times its original size? We’ll see if they leave it that way, or is there an additional explanation.
This is the official plot of Godzilla vs. Kong: ” Legends collide when these mythical adversaries meet in titanic combat for all ages, while the fate of the world hangs by a thread. Kong and his protectors embark on a dangerous mission to find their true home, and go accompanied by Jia, a young orphan with whom he has created a very special bond. But suddenly they come across an enraged Godzilla, who is leaving in his wake a trail of destruction throughout the world. The epic clash between the two titans, instigated by invisible forces, it is only the beginning of the mystery that hides in the depths of the Earth. ”
Godzilla vs. Kong is directed by Adam Wingard (The Guest). The protagonists are Alexander Skarsgård (“Big Little Lies”, “The Drum Girl”), Millie Bobby Brown (“Stranger Things”), Rebecca Hall (“Christine”, “Professor Marstony Wonder Woman”), Brian Tyree Henry ( “Joker”, “Spider-Man: A new universe”, Shun Oguri (“Time with you”), Eiza González (“Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw”), Julian Dennison (“Deadpool 2”), with Kyle Chandler (“Godzilla: King of the monsters”) and Demián Bichir (“The nun”, “The hateful eight”).
Warner has already announced that all its 2021 films will be released simultaneously in theaters and HBO Max, and this is going to happen with Godzilla vs. Kong, which will arrive on both platforms from March 17.
