Since Zack Snyder’s Justice League was released, questions have been raised about what awaits the DCEU and the actors who play some of our favorite heroes. One of them is Ben Affleck, who was believed to abandon the role of Batman, a situation that may be false according to new rumors.
It is well known that DC Comics fans want Henry Cavill back as Superman, however Affleck’s future with the premiere of The Batman (starring Robert Pattinson) was not promising.
Now, rumors are circulating, shared by the Geekosity site, that AT&T wants to bring back the Batman story from the SnyderVerse. In addition, according to the media, the series would be based on the popular game Batman: Arkham Knight.
It should be mentioned that earlier it had been mentioned that the original script of The Batman (before its reboot with Matt Reeves) was influenced by Batman: Arkham Asylum, which belong to the same series of games as Batman: Arkham Knight , so the rumor it would make sense. However, all of the above remains in rumors and we will have to wait for an official statement.
On the other hand, although the same actor already declared that he would not continue as Batman, he returned to participate in the new Justice League cut , and is even confirmed to appear in Flashpoint , so seeing him in one more project of the superhero of Gotham City wouldn’t be far-fetched.
Of course, we must remember that this is only a rumor and no official source has confirmed that we will have a series inspired by Arkham Knight . We’ll have to wait to see what DC’s plans are for The Dark Knight.
