Seeing is believing! An old Star Wars toy has now become canon in the aftermath of The Mandalorian season 2 finale.

At this point it is no secret that The Mandalorian hides numerous references and nods to the films and series of the Star Wars Universe. However, to our surprise, we have learned that an old toy from the galactic franchise has officially become canon after what was narrated in the season 2 finale of The Mandalorian . eye! SPOILERS below.

In addition to the shocking appearance of Luke Skywalker rescuing Din DjarinGrogu and company from the attack of the Dark Droids by Moff Gideon, The Mandalorian episode 2×08 culminated with a post-credits scene in which Boba Fett returns to Tatooine accompanied by Fennec Shand. and kills Bib Fortuna , who was now assuming the throne from Jabba the Hutt, now being the bounty hunter who takes the throne and giving rise to the new spin-off series entitled The Book of Boba Fett, which will premiere on Disney Plus in December 2021.

So far, so good. However, it turns out that an old Bib Fortuna toy has become canon due to a particular detail of the figure that also appears in The Mandalorian series. And it is that the cane that Bib Fortuna carries in the post-credits scene of The Mandalorian was not canon until then, since in the movie Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi he was not seen with that accessory.

This is how the writer Baz McAlister remembers it through his Twitter account, where he shares the figure of Bib Fortuna with the cane that he was never seen in Return of the Jedi.

“Thinking about this guy’s staff accessory today – not seen onscreen in Return of the Jedi, but created for the Kenner action figure.”

Of course,Jon Favreau thinks about all the details of the Star Wars Universe when including them in The Mandalorian series, even the most elaborate. A shame that we finally have to wait until 2022 to see the third season of The Mandalorian. What do you think of the end of season 2 of The Mandalorian?
